Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is situated on a pristine island 400 kilometres south of Malé in the North Huvadhoo (Gaafu Alifu) Atoll, one of the largest and deepest atolls in the Indian Ocean. The resort offers a range of services including exclusive scuba diving both in and around the atoll with the onsite PADI 5-Star Dive Centre, a unique Maldivian inspired spa – The Vidhun Spa – with five private couples treatment villas, as well as leisure concierge services providing authentic Maldivian experiences through our tailor-made excursions and activities. This luxury resort also offers private and scheduled Yoga classes and a main freshwater swimming pool overlooking the ocean. Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is home to two restaurants, one of which, Battuta’s – the only indigenous restaurant in the Maldives – serves gourmet regional cuisine. The resort is also an ideal island venue for an exotic Maldivian wedding, where our specialists will take care of every special detail of such a memorable event.

Retreat Projects

The main objective of the owners was that the resort would be planned and constructed in an environmentally sensitive manner. Now that it’s open, we maintain high ecological standards in environmental, social and economic terms and we were the first resort in the Maldives to adhere to the standards for ‘EarthCheck’ certification in the construction stage and resort operations. We continue to improve and innovate with our operational practices and have recently been awarded Silver EarthCheck certification, showing our ongoing commitment to protecting the environment.

Energy efficiency

During the design stage a key focus was reducing energy consumption. Heat recovery technology uses heat from air-conditioning generators to supply hot water to the entire island. In that way we save energy and avoid the emission of 4,3 tons of CO2 per year.

We contribute in a productive and sustainable way to the local community, hiring staff from the local islands, and providing guidance and support. The resort is a strong advocate of the Hyatt Thrive initiative, which enables employees to contribute to their communities despite living away from home.
