Best Practice Criteria & Rating Tents

BEST PRACTICE CRITERIA

To join EcoLuxury Retreat of  the World,  each accommodation facility has to meet the requirements set out in our BEST PRACTICE CRITERIA, a system of compliance and fulfillment measuring the level of Sustainability of each Retreat and its contribution to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) of Agenda 2030.

Developed by our experts in Sustainability applied to Tourism and in collaboration with Bocconi University of Milan, the Ecoluxury selection system takes into account the different standards and guidelines dictated by international organizations in the last decade, such as UNWTO (World Tourism Organization) and GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council).

The criteria provided by the EcoLuxury Best Practice are used to assess the ability of high-end facilities to offer the maximum experience for the guest, with the lowest environmental impact for the territory and the greatest benefit for the local community.

The performance of each Retreat is measured by indicators regarding:

a) the environment and the use of natural resources

c) sustainable management and corporate social responsibility

d) the authenticity and quality of the services offered
