Tanzania Ecoluxury: Serengeti, Tarangire e Ngorongoro

Arrival in Kilimanjaro; clearance of customs formalities and meeting with the Italian-speaking guide/driver who will accompany you for the duration of the trip. Transfer to Arusha, which is about an hour and a half away. Accommodation at the lodge; afternoon rest from the trip. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the lodge. Early morning departure for Tarangire. Arrive at the camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive in Tarangire Park, famous for its large number of elephants and beautiful baobab trees. Return to camp, dinner and overnight.

Day to devote to game drives in the park. Meals and overnight stay at the camp.

After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro. En route visit to a Maasai village. Arrival at the camp located at the edge of the crater. Accommodation and, after lunch, afternoon of rest. Dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast at the camp. Today we will descend the crater, a huge volcanic caldera formed about two and a half million years ago by the collapse of the now inactive volcano. A twenty-kilometer-wide amphitheater with six-hundred-meter-high walls that is home to an incredible amount of animals, including precisely the "big five" or "big five": elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo and rhinoceros. The latter, although present in the Serengeti, where it is rarely sighted and only from a distance, can be well observed in the crater. The show continues with wildebeest, buffalo, cheetah, zebra, hyena and more, and a wide variety of birds including thousands of pink flamingos, buzzards, hawks, ostriches and eagles. The crater, in a way, offers everything the animals need, a kind of paradise on earth, but it can also be a source of greater and bloody struggles for survival. As an alternative to picnic lunch, possibility to arrange, with extra charge, lunch at the edge of the crater. Late afternoon return camp, dinner and overnight stay.

Breakfast and departure for the Serengeti. Upon arrival transfer to the camp.

The camp is mobile and based on the route of the great migration: from December to March in the southern part; from June to November it is in the north of the Serengeti.

Arrive at the camp, settle in and, after lunch, first game drive. Return to camp late afternoon, dinner and overnight.

Note: Lunch is provided picnic during the months when the camp is in the northern Serengeti .

Full-day game drive within Serengeti National Park among the richest and most beautiful in Africa, scene of the famous and spectacular Great Migration. Picnic lunch on safari or at the camp (at clients' discretion - to be arranged with the guide). Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Breakfast at the camp. Transfer to Lamai airstrip (one and a half hours) or South Serengeti airstrip (15 minutes) and return flight to Arusha (duration about two and a half hours). Upon arrival, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport and departure with flight to Italy. Stopover depending on airline selected. Meals and overnight stay on board.

Arrival in Italy and end of services.
