Day 2: Nairobi - Saruni Samburu

Upon arrival in Nairobi process customs formalities and obtain visa. Meet with Saruni Basecamp representative for transfer to nearby Wilson airport from where private flight to Samburu departs. Overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 3: Saruni Samburu

After breakfast at the lodge, depart for game drive in Samburu National Reserve. What makes a safari in this reserve unique is that here, in addition to having many species, it is possible to spot some animals that are not found in other Kenyan parks and reserves, such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and Somali ostrich, which, together with giraffe gazelle and fringed-eared oryx, or East African oryx, make up Samburu's "Special Five." The reserve is also home to many other species of animals, both mammals, birds and reptiles: lions, leopards, cheetahs, lycaons, several species of antelope, gazelles, warthogs, jackals, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and more than 450 species of birds, but above all a large number of elephants; in fact, it is estimated that more than 900 live here and it is very common to spot them as they descend to the river to drink and refresh themselves. Picnic lunch is provided on safari. Return to the lodge in the afternoon. You can relax by having a massage treatment (shoulders and neck) offered by the lodge. At the end dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Saruni Samburu

After breakfast at the lodge morning game drive followed by lunch and walk in the reserve. In the evening there is another game drive in the Kalama Conservancy ending with a bush dinner under the stars. Return to the lodge and overnight stay.

Day 5: Saruni Samburu - Saruni Mara or Saruni Wild

Day 6: Saruni Mara or Saruni Wild

Day 7: Saruni Mara or Saruni Wild

In the morning walk through the valleys and plains surrounding Saruni Mara or jeep game drive to the summit of Kilileoni, the highest mountain in the Masai Mara Serengeti, accompanied by experienced Masaai guides.
