The first Ecoluxury Report, produced in collaboration with Thrends, provides an updated snapshot of Italian luxury hospitality in 2025, analyzing 745 five-star hotels and over 300 sustainability projects across the four Ecoluxury clusters: Cultural Heritage, Biosphere Conservation, Green Solutions, and Local Socio-Economic Development.
The report highlights that sustainability certifications are still not widely adopted and that, although many sustainable practices rooted in the Italian territory are indeed implemented, they are often communicated only marginally.
Ecoluxury therefore aims to create a common language and support structured pathways, strengthening Italy’s positioning in sustainable tourism.
