This tented camp is located within a private concession in the heart of the Okavango Delta and welcomes guests to an authentic and intensely immersive safari experience, designed for those who want to experience one of Africa's most fascinating and unspoiled wilderness areas up close. Its name pays homage to the famous explorer Henry Stanley, who went down in history for the phrase “Dr. Livingstone, I presume?”, and evokes his pioneering spirit through an elegant and nostalgic design. Simple and refined lines recall the charm of travel in times gone by, reinterpreted in a form of discreet luxury that 19th-century explorers could hardly have imagined.

The heart of the camp is a large central lounge and outdoor dining area, protected by the generous shade of imposing ebony and kigelia trees. From here, the view stretches beyond the camp to a boundless horizon of floodplains and unspoiled nature, a rich ecosystem that is home to an extraordinary variety of wildlife. The presence of only 10 luxury tents, combined with the private concession location, creates an intimate and exclusive atmosphere, allowing guests to enjoy a privileged safari experience through walking excursions, land and water activities, and evocative night safaris.

Each tent has a private terrace overlooking the plains, offering the opportunity to observe wildlife directly from your room, in a silence broken only by the sounds of nature. The bright and airy central tent houses the Explorer Lounge, a space dedicated to relaxation and discovery of the Delta. The outdoor bar and infinity pool complete the experience, offering spectacular views and unique moments, such as sightings of giraffes and impressive herds of buffalo slowly crossing the plains: a natural spectacle that will leave a lasting impression.

Tents

Stanley's Camp is an exclusive retreat consisting of just ten safari tents, each ... with a private terrace overlooking the vast floodplains, where wildlife roams free and endless. The traditional feel of the tents is combined with contemporary and luxurious details: linen, canvas, wood, and leather create a richly textured backdrop for hand-woven lamps and local artwork. Each tent has a minibar, coffee machine, and private bathroom with shower. From their terrace, guests can observe nature, relax, or dine al fresco under the African sky.

At Stanley's Camp, dining accompanies guests throughout the day, blending harmon ... iously with activities in the savannah. The day begins with breakfast, served before the morning safari. While observing wildlife, a break in the savannah offers coffee, tea, scones, and cookies. Lunch is served at the camp in a relaxed atmosphere. Afternoon and evening safaris include traditional sunset cocktails with canapés in spectacular locations. Upon return, an aperitif precedes dinner under the starry sky. Romantic private dinners on the terrace of your room or by the pool are available on request.

Safaris take place both in the morning and at sunset, offering the opportunity to discover nocturnal species during exciting evening safaris. Crossing waterways and observing zebras and giraffes in their natural habitat makes every outing an unforgettable experience. Accompanied by an expert guide and an armed ranger, you can explore the savannah on foot, following the signs of wildlife.

Some activities, such as walking safaris, are reserved for children over 15 years of age. Younger children can participate in safaris in private vehicles, and babysitting services are available upon request.

Available year-round, the fligh ... ts offer views that would otherwise be inaccessible by land or water and the opportunity to take panoramic photographs from a unique perspective. The best times are at sunrise or sunset for the best light. This activity has an additional cost and can be booked in advance or during your stay.
