The Sardinian sea is considered one of the most beautiful in the world, and the central-eastern coast of the island is an extraordinary example of this. The Gulf of Orosei is home to a succession of iconic beaches such as Cala Cartoe, Cala Goloritzé, Cala Luna, Cala Mariolu, and Cala Sisine, with crystal-clear sand, emerald waters, and spectacular cliffs surrounded by Mediterranean scrub. From Cala Gonone, you can visit the evocative Grotta del Bue Marino, famous for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Further north, San Teodoro and its lagoon, populated by pink flamingos, offer a protected environment ideal for birdwatching and diving.
The inland area is home to authentic villages rich in tradition. Oliena still preserves the traditional costumes worn daily, while Dorgali is renowned for its leather crafts and filigree. Orosei charms with its historic center and popular festivals; Galtellì is linked to the figure of Grazia Deledda; Orgosolo expresses its identity through famous murals and deeply rooted traditions.
The area is also a journey through time: from the nuragic sites of Serra Orrios and Sedda 'e sos Carros to the village of Tiscali hidden in the mountains. Nature dominates with the Ispinigoli Cave, the Su Gorropu canyon, and the wild landscapes of Supramonte.
Nuoro, the cultural heart of Barbagia, is home to museums of great value and testimonies of illustrious figures such as Grazia Deledda, Francesco Ciusa, and Sebastiano Satta, offering a perfect synthesis of art, history, and Sardinian identity.
Alternatively, the Ecoluxury Retreat Su Gologone offers a wide selection of activities to enjoy during your stay. Inside the property are the six Botteghe dell'Arte (Art Workshops), housed in the old stables: creative workshops dedicated to design, ceramics, painting, and embroidery, where you can take part in courses and purchase exclusive creations in “Su Gologone Style.”
Dinner will be served at the hotel. Drinks not included.
