In the heart of Umbria lies Castello di Postignano, a skillfully restored medieval village where time seems to pass at its own pace. Here, ancient stone dialogues with unspoiled nature, creating a perfect harmony that invites you to rediscover the pleasure of slowness and silence.

Every year, the village hosts a music festival featuring internationally renowned artists, transforming its ancient squares into a magical stage capable of thrilling even the most discerning travelers.

Our itinerary will take you through some of Umbria's most charming villages, some well-known, others less so, with a stop in Postignano to attend this unique event and enjoy a refined gastronomic experience with dinner in the village, surrounded by historic atmosphere and authentic flavours.

Tour itinerary

Day 1, Spoleto

Participants meet at the Albornoz Palace Hotel in Spoleto. Check-in to assigned rooms. Meeting with the Viaggi dell'Elefante tour guide.

Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will enjoy a pleasant two-hour walk through the heart of the historic centre, among cobbled alleys and views that seem suspended in time.

The route leads through noble palaces, hidden courtyards, and picturesque viewpoints, offering unique moments to admire the harmony between history, art, and landscape. During the walk, the guide will share insights into the city's rich heritage, from its medieval origins to its Renaissance wonders, making every corner come alive and memorable.

The tour ends at the majestic Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, whose luminous façade and refined details tell centuries of devotion, art, and spirituality. An intimate and immersive experience that allows you to discover the essence of Spoleto, between elegance, history, and culture, leaving an indelible impression of beauty and charm.

At the end of the tour, there will be free time for dinner (not included) in one of the many restaurants in the center of Spoleto.

Day 2, Assisi - Spello - Postignano

You will be served a buffet breakfast, after which, accompanied by an expert local guide, you will be immersed in the timeless atmosphere of Assisi, a city symbolizing spirituality, art, and harmony. The tour winds through the cobbled streets of the historic center, hidden courtyards, and breathtaking views, where every corner tells centuries of history and devotion.

The tour includes the city's most iconic sites, including the Basilica of St. Francis, a masterpiece of medieval art and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which houses extraordinary cycles of frescoes by great Italian masters, an immortal testimony to sacred painting. The tour continues to Piazza del Comune, the Temple of Minerva, and the splendid Basilica of Santa Chiara, offering a comprehensive overview of the city's artistic, architectural, and spiritual wealth.

At the end of the visit, you will have free time to continue exploring Assisi on your own and for lunch (not included in the tour price).

In the afternoon, you will be taken to Spello, one of the most charming and evocative villages in Umbria. Accompanied by an expert local guide, you will walk through the historic center, where cobbled streets, medieval arches, and picturesque views create an atmosphere suspended in time.

The tour includes the splendid Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and the famous Baglioni Chapel, a true jewel of the Umbrian Renaissance, frescoed by Pinturicchio upon his return from Rome, which enchants with its colors and refined details. Every corner of the village tells stories of art, history, and tradition, offering moments of authentic contemplation and beauty. This guided tour is designed to let you breathe in the elegance and harmony of Spello, among artistic treasures, panoramic views, and the timeless charm of one of Italy's most celebrated villages.

Afterwards, transfer by bus to Postignano. When dusk falls, the castle comes alive with the notes of the music festival, transforming the spaces into a sound universe of rare magic. The musicians, among the best international performers, give life to concerts that resonate between the ancient walls and majestic vaults, creating an atmosphere suspended between reality and dream. The music blends with the surrounding views, the soft lighting, and the elegance of the place, offering profound and unforgettable emotions. The evening ends with a dinner, where the flavors of the cuisine meet the art and harmony of the festival, offering a multisensory experience that celebrates the beauty, culture, and timeless elegance of Postignano. At the end of the evening, return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3, Montefalco

After breakfast, departure by bus to Montefalco, the “Balcony of Umbria,” a village of extraordinary beauty known for its medieval walls, panoramic towers, and picturesque squares offering breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. A pleasant stroll through the charming streets allows you to immerse yourself in the art, history, and authentic atmosphere of Umbria, discovering ancient noble palaces, churches rich in frescoes, and artisan workshops.

In the late morning, transfer to the renowned Cantina Antonelli, a wine-making excellence in the region, where you will have the opportunity to explore the property and learn the secrets of winemaking handed down through generations. The tour of the vineyards and cellars will reveal the traditions and passion that make the wines of this historic winery, symbol of the prestigious Sagrantino di Montefalco, unique.

The visit will end with a tasting lunch of local products, a sensory experience that combines the authentic flavors of Umbria with the refined wines of the winery, celebrating the cultural and gastronomic richness of this territory.
