We climb up to the fort, which is located on a hill, by Jeep. Photo stop at the Palace of Winds, built in red sandstone; the facade is a collection of almost a thousand finely crafted niches and windows, reminiscent of lace. It served as an observatory from which the women of the court could watch the life of the city without being seen.  Free lunch. In the afternoon, visit the City Palace complex, with the palace, museum, audience courtyard, and Jai Singh II's Astrological Observatory.  Free dinner and overnight stay.

NB: Viaggi Dell'Elefante cannot guarantee the proper treatment of the elephants used for the ascent to Amber Fort, so we have decided that the best choice for our travellers is to make the journey by jeep; if you wish to climb Amber Fort on elephant back, you can do so by requesting it on site from our staff.

Day 3, Udaipur – Ranakpur – Jodhpur
