Today, immerse yourself in history, nature, and the allure of the sea at the Phlegraean Fields Archaeological Park, with stops in Baia, Cuma, and Pozzuoli.
Start with Cuma, the oldest Greek colony in the West. Wander through paths surrounded by lush vegetation and ancient ruins, and enter the Sibyl’s Cave, a tunnel carved into the tuff rock where the legendary prophetess once gave her oracles. Climb up to the Temples of Apollo and Jupiter, where you'll enjoy a spectacular view of the Phlegraean coastline — a place where sea, history, and legend meet.
Continue to Pozzuoli, once a thriving Roman port and commercial hub of the Empire. Stroll its historic streets and visit the Flavian Amphitheatre, the third largest in the Roman world.
End your day in Baia, an ancient resort town for Roman aristocracy. Among ruins of baths, temples, and imperial villas, you'll feel the luxurious atmosphere of a bygone era.
The highlight of the day awaits: a glass-bottom boat tour over the Underwater Archaeological Park of Baia. Marvel at the remarkably preserved remains of the sunken city — mosaics, columns, statues, and ancient roads that seem suspended between sea and time.
