The Environmental Conservation Program is an initiative aimed at protecting biodiversity and natural resources, as well as reducing the environmental impact of the lodge's operations. It is carried out in accordance with the environmental protection and conservation guidelines set by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA). Through this program, the lodge promotes practices that contribute to safeguarding the unique ecosystem surrounding the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Key activities include tree planting and habitat restoration within the lodge's property and neighboring communities, the reduction of single-use plastics through the adoption of reusable alternatives, the implementation of water-saving measures and efficient irrigation systems, as well as the promotion of energy efficiency through LED lighting and renewable energy technologies. Furthermore, the program focuses on waste separation and recycling, environmental awareness campaigns for guests and staff, and the protection of native flora and fauna on the property, all in collaboration with local communities.
The protected area encompasses the lodge grounds and the surrounding natural environment, both located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area ecosystem.
The lodge actively carries out native tree planting, soil erosion prevention, and controlled land management practices designed to minimize environmental disruption. Trees are planted both on-site and in surrounding communities to enhance biodiversity, promote soil conservation, and increase carbon sequestration.
Planted species typically include bamboo, Cordia africana, Combretum molle (Velvet Bushwillow), mango trees, avocado trees, and jamun trees (Syzygium cumini).
The lodge also features a coffee plantation and a vegetable garden growing lettuce, spinach, kale, mint, rosemary, basil, banana, and other culinary crops to foster sustainable sourcing.

The surrounding Ngorongoro ecosystem is home to several threatened species, including the African buffalo, African elephant, lion, cheetah, hyena, and African wild dog. Conservation awareness is an integral part of the project's environmental education activities.
