A journey with unique landscape features along the north-western borders of Pakistan, through the Karakoram mountain range, where some of the highest peaks in the world are located. From the markets of the legendary Kashgar to the Kunjerab Pass (4,655 m), along the Karakorum Highway, from Passu to Karimabad along the shores of Lake Attabad, from the Hunza valley to the superb glacier of the Nagar valley, from Gilgit to Baltistan, with Skardu andShigar, to the ruins of ancient Taxila (UNESCO World Heritage).A journey that also offers an encounter with interesting populations who, due to their geographical isolation, have kept their traditions.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Kashgar

Arrival in Kashgar and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2 - Kashgar

Full day visit of Kashgar: the old quarters, the Id Gah Grand Mosque, the tomb of Apak Khoja, the holiest site in Xinjiang and the local.

Day 3 - Kashgar - Tashkurgan

Leaving the Xinjian plains and head towards the Pamir plateau through arid and inhospitable desert valleys. Proceed on the Karakorum Highway from Kashgar to Islamabad in Pakistan then pass the Lake Karakul (at about 3,600 meters). Arrival at the town of Tashkurgan, the last outpost of China before the border with Pakistan.

Day 4 - Tashkurgan - Khunjerab Pass

After breakfast departure to the south through the extensive Chinese Pamir plateau. You reach the Kunjerab pass (4,695 meters) which was only opened to foreigners in 1986. Gradually we descend to Sust (2,975 m), the China-Pakistani border point.Immigration and customs formalities are carried out and proceed to Gulmit.Arrival in Gulmit and hotel accommodation.

Day 5 - Gulmit - Karimadabad - Hunza

Morning at leisure. Departure to Hunza Valley skirting the turquoise waters of Lake Attaabad. Arrival in Karimabad and hotel accommodation.

Day 6 - Hunza

Full day visit of Hunza Valley.

Day 7 - Hunza - Gilgit - Skardu - Shigar

Transfer to the region of the Skardu Valley also known as the Little Ladakh.During the trip we stop in the city of Gilgit and visit the colorful bazaar and the suspension bridge over the Gilgit River.Continue towards Skardu following the Indus River.Arrival in Shigar and hotel accommodation.

Day 8 - Shigar

Morning visit to the Fort. Afternoon at leisure to visit the village and the old mosque.

Day 9 - Shigar - Skardu - Islamabad

Transfer to Skardu airport and flight to Islamabad. On arrival transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon visit of Islamabad: the Faisal mosque, the panoramic point Shakerparian Hill and the Heritage Museum.

Day 10 - Islamabad - Taxila - Islamabad

Full day excursion to the archaeological site of Taxila, World Heritage site since 1980.

Day 11 - Islamabad

After breakfast transfer to Islamabad airport. End of services.
