Morocco

Morocco is the state of North Africa that is located at the most extreme western tip of the Arab world called Maghreb, "place of sunset" in the Berber language. Its soul is ancient, elegant and mysterious with a strong Mediterranean vocation and millennial traditions. Morocco unveils the treasures of its local people, in many different scenarios ranging from its large mountain with snow-capped peaks, to fairy-tale cities, from extensive beaches, to enchanting kasbahs and oases hidden among the soft dunes in the desert. The red color predominates and envelops the walls of the Medina, the oldest part of any of its cities. Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat, Fes, Meknes, Essaouira and Ouarzazate offer many historical and architectural insights that testify to the different cultural influences received over the centuries, many declared Unesco heritage. Morocco is also strongly committed to ensuring an eco-friendly tourism offer and has established the Moroccan Sustainable Tourism Awards which rewards Morocco's businesses and localities for their environmental responsibility.
