Villa Tasca is one of the most prestigious and exclusive historical residences in Palermo, immersed in a park full of citrus groves and ancient trees. The villa dates back to the mid-sixteenth century and has been during the centuries the private residence of many Italian noble families, who have made several changes until the eighteenth century, when the villa has taken its present appearance. Pole of attraction for many personalities passing through Sicily and cultural reference point for the intellectuals of the time, since 1808 many illustrious guests have stayed there. Protected by the beautiful Romantic Garden in nineteenth-century style, spread over two floors, the ground floor and the main floor with elegant frescoed halls of the '700 and spacious and bright interiors. It has 4 elegant and comfortable suites and two terraces overlooking the park and the botanical garden. Still owned by the Tasca family, the Villa has only recently opened its gates to offer memorable stays and tailor-made events. It is possible to book the Villa exclusively for weddings and to organize small and large corporate events in the various internal and external spaces of the property, such as the Garden, the Chapel and the Stable, which stands out for its elegance and simplicity, typical of noble residences. Staying at Villa Tasca means having a unique experience among history, botany, wine and good food. A precious example of Cultural Heritage that allows guests to relive the same atmosphere of beauty and refinement experienced by Ferdinand of Bourbon, Bismarck, Margaret of Savoy and Jacqueline Kennedy during their stays and that inspired Richard Wagner in the writing of Parsifal.
A guided tour of the Romantic Garden, accompanied by an expert guide, allows visitors to retrace the historical and cultural moments of Villa Tasca and to discover its lush vegetation, consisting of peculiar botanical species. The visit continues inside the villa to admire the halls of the Piano Nobile, characterized by frescoes and majolica of 700. At the end of the visit of about an hour, a drink will be served on the terrace. On request it is possible to organize a pleasant light lunch buffet in the garden or a dinner in one of the terraces of the Villa.
Villa Tasca organizes a traditional cooking class, to discover the recipes and the secrets of the ancient Sicilian culture. We suggest to complete the experience with a tasting of Tasca d'Almerita wines.
