Tsariwa Ritama Rural Tourism Association

America | Peru | Reserva Nacional Pacaya Samiria

In the community of Nueva Arica, located within Lake Tipishca in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, a tourist circuit has been developed and is managed by members of the newly formed Tsariwa Ritama Rural Tourism and Handicrafts Community Association. With the support of the philanthropic coordinator, every Friday Pure Amazon guests are welcomed to discover the customs, traditions and native language of the Kukama Kukamiria people, contributing to their preservation. The formally registered association receives compensation for each visit, generating sustainable income for 25 members. Preliminary workshops have educated the community on the benefits of sustainable tourism and the importance of cultural and environmental conservation. This project not only promotes a community not yet exposed to mass tourism but also encourages the responsible management of natural resources. Future baseline surveys will assess the health of the population and the socio-economic impact of the support provided.

Pure Amazon, an A&K Sanctuary

A trip to the Amazon region is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, a total immersion in one of the world's most extraordinary natural landscapes. Here, where the forest meets the river and biodiversity reigns supreme, every moment offers the chance to discover a remote and vibrant ecosystem that is still accessible to only a few travellers. Aboard the Pure Amazon, A&K's new riverboat launched in 2025, this adventure is transformed into the most elegant and engaging form imaginable.

Sailing along the Marañón and Ucayali rivers, in the heart of the Amazon basin and close to the source of the Amazon River, guests can choose three-, four- or seven-night itineraries to explore the spectacular Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve. This vast protected area, covering over 21,000 square kilometres, reveals scenery of incomparable beauty and an extraordinary wealth of wildlife.

Expert guides and highly knowledgeable naturalists accompany each excursion, offering unique opportunities to spot rare species and enjoy authentic encounters with local communities. The activities, which are flexible and fully customisable, allow you to live each day according to your own pace and interests, whether exploring the forest, when conditions permit, or gliding silently along the waterways.

On board, just 12 suites and cabins with impeccable contemporary design, inspired by the region and enhanced by panoramic windows, offer a haven of comfort and tranquillity with ever-changing views. The dining experience is exceptional: an indoor-outdoor restaurant serves international, Peruvian and Amazonian dishes, highlighting the authentic flavours of the region. With a maximum of only 22 passengers and a staff-to-guest ratio of one to one, every detail is taken care of with impeccable attention, ensuring an intimate, exclusive and deeply memorable journey.
