The butterfly garden has been an experiment by Coconut Lagoon who idientified a natural moisture site kissed by sunlight and a profusion of wild flowers. Being a space ideal for butteflies, they started to migrate there from miles away. In addition the Lodge introduced well-chosen plants and floating flowers so all of a sudden the "garden" became alive with flashing wings. Coconut Lagoon boasts about 54 species of dragonflies and damselflies.
The one hour cruise at sunset is teh best way to enjoy the lake, its sounds and lights. Water lovers might also enjoy taking an oar or punt-boat out on to the lake with one of the local fishermen, both for company and a steadying hand on the tiller.
