The lodge can be reached by boat and offers a vacation in full contact with nature, thanks to the pristine forest populated by many species of birds and the Vechur cows grazing undisturbed on endless lawns of the property.

Kerala's cuisine is unique and enigmatic, rich in flavours. Vembanad Grill is the best place to tast the catch of the day grilled to perfection beside the daily specials that can be discovered day by day.
Ettukettu proposes a great choice of tasty traditional dishes and rich flavours in an informal and rustic atmosphere.
Lunch is served between 1 and 3 pm, dinner from 7.30 to 10 pm.
Aymanam is the lakeside restaurant boasting an atmosphere of quaint serenity. The three daily meals are served here and it is possible to eat indoor or under the stars. Aymanam is serving traditional Kerala dishes as curry fish.

The life around the lagoon is depending on the ability to float: Coconut Lagoon is proud to bring to their guests the floating tea shop, a clear representation of the way of living which will give you the possibility to meet the Tea Lady from the village near the resort.
A pleasant walk across the wooden bridge and you will reach the Ayurveda Centre where you will be able to try treatments and massages, from beauty to rejouvinating, from toning to antistress, all based on the ancient indian Ayurveda tradition and taken care by the Retreat's expert team.
Lake Vembanad area is full of birds species and a good number of them is visible in the retreats throughout the seasons. The easiest to spoil is the darter, who is slowly increasing thanks to the conservation efforts made on premises.
The butterfly garden has been an experiment by Coconut Lagoon who idientified a natural moisture site kissed by sunlight and a profusion of wild flowers. Being a space ideal for butteflies, they started to migrate there from miles away. In addition the Lodge introduced well-chosen plants and floating flowers so all of a sudden the "garden" became alive with flashing wings. Coconut Lagoon boasts about 54 species of dragonflies and damselflies.
The one hour cruise at sunset is teh best way to enjoy the lake, its sounds and lights. Water lovers might also enjoy taking an oar or punt-boat out on to the lake with one of the local fishermen, both for company and a steadying hand on the tiller.
