Turkey

Turkey is an immense country, unique in the world. The mysterious fascination of the East and the comfortable technological evolution of the West meet in the same land, in the same seas, in the same cities, under the same sky. Nowhere else on the planet does this fascinating encounter occur. Turkey has a history of over nine thousand years, exists from the beginning of civilization, has preserved its roots and development. The country is, today, a perfect and pleasant blend of ancient and modern that enchants visitors from all over the world. Along its streets there are the most important myths of history: in Troy where the songs of Homer resound; in Alicarnasso with the Mausoleum one of the seven wonders of the ancient world; in Istanbul, which was once the capital under the names of Constantinople and Byzantium and various civilizations, has preserved notable monuments such as St. Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Topkapi. At the same time Turkey is a modern, cosmopolitan and dynamic country, with sophisticated restaurants, trendy bars and masterpieces of hi-tech architecture.
