The lodge features an eclectic style with various decorations of African and Native American art, but the Alpine style emerges strongly through furniture and decorations made by local artisans. Some of the walls in the Lodge's common areas are decorated with wood panels printed with innovative machines, expertly crafted by a South Tyrolean artisan company and giving individual boards a bas-relief effect. Typical of ADLER Lodges are wooden decorations in the shape of eagle, dragon and owl heads, made by a local craftsman.
The Lodge's commitment to supporting local producers is also evident in Hannes Pignater's culinary choices, which include only fresh local produce. His dishes rediscover local flavors and culinary traditions, revisited with a modern twist. Careful in their aesthetics, they include simple ingredients typical of everyday Tyrolean cuisine, such as herbs, roots, tubers and vegetables from small local producers. For wines, too, ADLER relies on labels from small family-owned wineries that have been producing the best wines in South Tyrol for generations. To confirm its commitment to supporting a short supply chain and preferring Km 0 products, the Adler Lodge Ritten has introduced an alternative menu to the gourmet dinner: “From Farm to Table,” consisting of six courses, each based on local ingredients. With the “ADLER REGIONAL PARTNER” seal of quality and the ADLER Homemade label, guests are taken on a journey through the flavors of the various regional specialties on the menu.
The ADLER Lodge RITTEN, located in Soprabolzano on the Renon plateau, is the ideal place to be pampered by nature without sacrificing the exclusivity of informal luxury and the comfort of a family environment. The Lodge was designed and built according to the most modern green building criteria, with natural native materials to blend in with the landscape.
It is a retreat in the forest, consisting of a central body, the Main Lodge, which includes the Wellness area with the Spa, the reception, the lounge area, and the charming panoramic restaurant with a glass roof, for dining under the stars, offering Alpine-Mediterranean inspired gourmet dishes prepared with fresh local products. For drinks, wines and spirits, too, the choice falls on local producers and labels from small wineries. In addition to the Main Lodge, two complexes housing 20 Junior Suites, we find a Panorama Suite and 20 charming Chalets with floor-to-ceiling windows and large panoramic balconies.
Also available to guests is the exclusive Forest Spa, a wellness area built into the forest, with a Finnish sauna, aromatic biosauna and a relaxation room. During their stay, guests can enjoy fitness programs, yoga, pilates and meditation classes. Each week the lodge presents a full program of outdoor activities that can vary depending on the season from hiking and e-bike tours to visiting Bolzano by cable car or days on the ski fields of the Rittner Horn, snowshoeing and sledding.
At Adler Ritten, respect for nature is combined with the low impact of the facility and good sustainability practices, which the lodge reveals to its guests with an original “behind-the-scenes” tour.In addition, guests can arrive at the hotel using the scenic Ritten cable car and a private shuttle, and to reach the most popular destinations around RITTEN, there is no need to use a car, but one can travel by the historic Ritten train.
