Bayettes is a private reserve located in the Marmore Valley, on the right side of the Matterhorn Valley. It is more than 4 square kilometers in size and is located between 2000 and 3300 meters above sea level. The Reserve is used for grazing and has huts where shepherds with their flocks of sheep and goats found shelter in the past. In the Reserve rich in firs, pines , rhododendrons and other native species of alpine flora, chamois, ibex, marmots, bees, eagles and hawks live undisturbed and protected.
