GREEN SOLUTIONS

Project description

Baines’ Camp has been built with 150,000 recycled tin cans and with the help of the population of nearby city Maun. People have been asked to collect as many tin cans as possible and have been rewarded. Cans, which ensure insulation from heat and cold, have been stacked on top of one another, overlaid with mesh, Hessian cloth and cemented with elephant dung. Project provided income for local communities and created awareness of recycling.
