OLM Nature Escape is the first energy self-sufficient Eco Aparthotel complex in the entire Alpine region. The project is based on energy self-sufficiency through the application of advanced technologies: from the recovery of water from the artesian well, to the production of energy with 1200 photovoltaic panels positioned on the roof and 126 geothermal probes that cover 95% of the hotel's entire heat energy requirements. The installation of 50 intelligent recharging stations for electric vehicles confirms the hotel's commitment to position itself on the market as an ideal facility for Green Power enthusiasts.

The building design integrates with the landscape and the architectural principles belong to bio-architecture. The ecosystem is an active part of the building, through the organic use of the natural resources present and the conservation of biological diversity. The structure is in the shape of a circle, representing the infinite that has neither beginning nor end, like the OLM, which in South Tyrol means the eternity of passing time. A creative choice strongly desired by the owners and approved by the architecture team for the numerous advantages it offers both aesthetically and functionally. The circle-shaped building, with a diameter of 110 metres, conveys balance and elegance, creating an intimate and cosy atmosphere that encourages better interaction between guests. It offers an even distribution of space, optimising the use of the outdoor communal areas (swimming pool, natural pond, Finnish sauna, garden) that have been created within the circle, so as to have a natural and peaceful environment all around. The circular shape also makes the building safer and more durable, from the point of view of seismicity and resistance to external agents. It makes natural use of sunlight and the shade of the external canopies limits overheating in the summer months, helping to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions.

OLM Nature Escape has obtained 'Casa Clima A Nature' certification, fulfilling all the requirements of the Casa Clima Agency.
